Staging Your Home To Sell

When trying to sell your home, first impressions are everything. Make your home more appealing to potential buyers by staging your home to sell which will then help you sell your home faster and for more money. Let’s begin creating an environment that interests as many buyers as possible, resulting in a quick sale for you.

Remove The Clutter

You’re sending the message that your home isn’t large enough to accommodate your needs when your home has clutter. Begin by tidying up your home to make each room look bigger & better, including removing those kitchen gadgets on your countertops you can temporarily live without. This doesn’t mean to start shoving everything into closets or drawers. It’s just as important that you de-clutter these areas, too, since buyers will also be looking in your closets and drawers to see the kind of storage space they can expect. If needed, rent a storage unit to store all of your belongings in it until move-out day. Remove any extra, unnecessary furniture in each room which is another reason to rent a storage until move-out day. This will showcase each room in your home to its fullest potential, giving off the appearance of a spacious home.

Find A Home For Pets

Not every potential buyer is an animal lover. As difficult as it may be, you may want to consider booking your furry friend into a doggy hotel or have a friend babysit. This not only applies to dogs and cats, but it also applies to small caged critters, as well. However, if parting with your pet is something you just can’t do, be sure to remove all evidence of them. Make sure there’s no fur on the floors, the poop is scooped in the yard, toys are picked up, and food & water bowls are not visibly seen.

Don’t Forget The Outside

Curb appeal is just as important as the inside of your home. Tidy up the yard by making sure the grass is mowed, leaves are raked, and any toys are picked up. Adding a fresh coat of paint to the front door and window shutters will also give your home a budget friendly update. If you have a shed or detached garage, clean these out to make them as clutter-free as possible, too.
