We can finally say it: winter is coming! While we certainly love the fall, we especially look forward to welcoming winter and enjoying Utah’s snowy wonderland. Before you indulge in the local outdoor activities, cozy fun, and wintry sights, there are a few steps you can take to winterize your Regal home. Once you’ve taken care of these home maintenance tasks, you’ll be free to get out and enjoy the endless beauty of winter in your community without any worries!

Safety First: Check your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. Replace the batteries and test the units. Buy a fire extinguisher or replace the one you have if it is over 10 years old.

Protect Your Pipes: One of the best ways to prevent frozen and burst pipes is to practice basic energy conservation in your home. Here are a few tips and tricks to keep your pipes safe. 

Prep Your HVAC System: Have an HVAC Professional inspect and clean the furnace and ducts. 

Change the furnace filter. Make sure heating vents have no obstacles in front of them. Set the humidifier for winter.
